The Presidents Clean Energy Plan is a VERY big deal for the climate. It will reduce dangerous carbon pollution from power plants 30% by 2030 and spur investment in a clean energy for a more energy efficient economy.
The EPAs very first hearing on the plan is in Atlanta on 29 July.
Georgia Power is sure to have a big crowd to speak against the rule. To ensure that EPA and our elected officials hear a clear and resounding message that Georgians want swift and bold action opposing climate change, the GA Chapter is working to have over 500 Sierra Club members and supporters attend the hearing and also a big rally that day. We need you there!
The GA Chapter will help with travel arrangements for a group from Augusta to attend on 29 July. For more information, contact April at aprillynnwilson@gmail.com
